Navigating the workspace

Get to know the sidebar, your landing page, and where everything lives.

Available on all plans.

The sidebar

The left sidebar is how you move around OneTool. Each entry is one area of your business: Home, Clients, Projects, Tasks, Quotes, Invoices, Inbox, Documents, Automations, Routing, Reports, and your organization settings.

What you see depends on your role and permissions. Members only see the areas an admin has given them access to, so a field tech might see just Projects and Tasks.

Home is for admins

Admins land on Home after signing in: a dashboard with your key numbers, a schedule calendar with the day's agenda beside it, a map of client locations, a Needs Attention list of overdue tasks, unpaid invoices, and quotes awaiting signature, and your most recent client emails with a click-through into the inbox. Members land on Projects instead, since Home is an admin view.

The assistant is always nearby

The AI assistant sits in a floating dock at the bottom center of every page, on every plan. The Free plan includes 10 messages a day. Open it to ask questions about your data or to get something done without leaving the page you are on. Read more in Meet the assistant.

Light and dark themes

OneTool follows your system theme and you can switch it manually. Your client-facing pages, like quotes and the portal, always stay clean and readable regardless of your theme.
